Technical Designer
As a Technical Designer, your responsibilities include designing gameplay systems (with clear documentation), implementing those designed systems, then refining them to deliver a polished and engaging player experience. You will collaborate closely with both the art and engineering teams to achieve these goals.
Must-Haves
- Proficient knowledge of the Unity engine and Unity C# scripting
- Love survival-craft games, and have experience designing them.
- A solid grasp of game mechanics and game feel: engaging systems coupled with game juice
- A good sense of aesthetics, with a keen eye towards visual details
- Excellent communication skills
- Passionate about indie games and a highly motivated self-starter
- At minimum, a bachelor's degree and 2+ years of work experience
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with developing procedural generation systems
- A thorough understanding of Unity's 3D rendering pipeline
- Familiarity with dependency injection and the model-view-presenter software pattern
- Familiarity with networking solutions for a listen-server model
